Joy Westerman (b. 1993) is a writer and (sometime) researcher from Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY. She writes across genre, with a focus on gender and sexuality, women's health, and social psychology. She is a graduate of the Creative Writing program at Knox College, where she received the Beverly K. White Creative Writing Award.
From 2015-2019, Joy managed content for the sex education brand Dr. Zhana. She currently works in the Psych department of NYU Langone and serves as a freelance ghostwriter and editor.
Joy enjoys collaborating with visual artists and illustrators, so feel free to drop her a line if you'd like to join forces! She is especially interested in writing text for graphic novels and memoirs.
